Week 3: Day 2

We had our first inspection for rough electrical and plumbing. Everything went well but we need to make some corrections to the existing powder room sink plumbing. Insulation went in the exterior walls. We didn't use traditional fiberglass insulation, instead we used recycled jeans. Its a recycled cotton and denim product that best of all is itch free.

On Monday the electricians were back out running wire and setting boxes. The plumbers were also roughing-in for the new plumbing. Today was a quiet day as all the plumbing is roughed in and the electrician is waiting on the recessed cans to arrive which should be Friday. Hoping to have inspection on Monday.

Deconstruction Happened

As always a few unexpected things came up during demo.

In this photo, the closet at the stair landing is in my space..
but we will work around it. Everything still fits.

We finally have a clear view of the old chimney that we designed around.
it goes all the way from the basement to the roof.
It looks just as expected.
