Week 4: Day 5
Today is another quiet day. Drywall mud is drying, Cabinetry is being fabricated and finished in the shop and the new back door, plumbing fixtures and appliances are on order.
Week 4: Day 4
With the first part of cabinetry in, we could now start finishing the drywall. The first coats of drywall mud went on today and will need a few days to dry.

Week 3: Day 2
We had our first inspection for rough electrical and plumbing. Everything went well but we need to make some corrections to the existing powder room sink plumbing. Insulation went in the exterior walls. We didn't use traditional fiberglass insulation, instead we used recycled jeans. Its a recycled cotton and denim product that best of all is itch free.

Week 3: Day 1
Week 2: Day 5
The original 1910 windows were removed and completely reworked. New counter weighting, stops and weatherstriping. No more binding or air gaps, better than new! The recessed light cans are ready for pickup and will be onsite Monday. The original knob and tube electrical wiring is being removed and replaced.

Week 2: Day 3
Since the last update the lighting layout was revised to work with the existing joist layout and revised drawings were ready for the electrician last Friday. On Monday the electricians were back out running wire and setting boxes. The plumbers were also roughing-in for the new plumbing. Today was a quiet day as all the plumbing is roughed in and the electrician is waiting on the recessed cans to arrive which should be Friday. Hoping to have inspection on Monday.

Deconstruction Happened

In this photo, the closet at the stair landing is in my space..
but we will work around it. Everything still fits.
We finally have a clear view of the old chimney that we designed around.
it goes all the way from the basement to the roof.
It looks just as expected.
